Entries close on 18 August 2010 and only shortlisted candidates will be notified after that. If you are shortlisted, more information will be required for the judges. Please be prepared to provide detailed facts and examples to substantiate your application.

Community / charity

For someone who has made a difference to a specific community/charity. Maybe you have established your own charity initiative, or had an impact on an existing charity or community.

Creative

To celebrate achievement in design and the arts. Open to talented creative talents from any field, including interiors, fine arts, theatre, music and the written word.

Ethical/Eco

To recognise workplace changes that have ethical or environmental benefits. You may have instigated changes within a corporate organisation or acted on your own to create an eco impact on a smaller scale.

Fashion

A new label launch, or transformation of an existing brand. You may be a retailer who has revived a flagging label or created a new market, or a designer who has launched your own line.

Food pioneer

A new category for a success story in any area of the food industry. From chefs to shop owners to importers to producers, all areas of the food business are welcome.

Internet

For a business that operates entirely online. Recognising the growing status of web-based commerce, this award is for a business that communicates with its market solely via the internet.

Media

For achievement in print, tv, radio or online. Open to applicants from any area of the media, whether high profile or behind the scenes.

Pioneer

A trailblazer who has made an astonishing breakthrough in their field. This can be in any career category.

Returners

For an inspiring 'returning to work after motherhood” story. Whether you've returned to your previous profession or changed direction, your story needs to inspire other readers.

Start up

This new category is for a new business that has been trading for at least 12 months. The business should be your original idea, and judges may ask for evidence of commercial success.
